St. Armands Circle Parking Lot, Sarasota
(4.3/5 based on 3,200+ reviews on the web)
An island with a misspelled name, St. Armands Circle Parking Lot was purchased by a Frenchman named St. Amand in the 19th century. His name was misspelled on land deeds, and that error became the name of the island. John Ringling, the circus magnate, purchased the land in 1917 and turned it into a residential and shopping area. Upon exploring, you'll discover that St. Armands Circle sits at the heart of the action, encompassed by shops, restaurants, and cafes with outdoor seating that allow you to enjoy the breeze over the water. Put St. Armands Circle Parking Lot into our Sarasota trip itinerary builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • We try to always spend an afternoon or evening at St. Armands Circle, exploring the shops. It is a wonderful area for a stroll.
  • We love walking the circle and shopping. We purchased way to much. Really very pretty floral and lights. Great restaurants and great atmosphere. It's a must walk when your in the area.
  • Went to St. Armands on a day trip. There are tons of shops and excellent places to eat. Very close to Lido Beach. Recommend place to stop and shop.
