  • Friends bookstore is great , with wide selection in most subjects and categories. ( PS - to the homeless haters , your weak minds and narrow viewpoints may touch on greater library issues ,but have nothing to do with Friends Bookstore.) Please visit Friends Bookstore and check it out.
  • Great organization! It is a non-profit that sells used books in its own room next to the check out desk. I really enjoy browsing and buying books here.
  • As a visitor from the UK who has been using this library each Jan/Feb for the last 10 years, I really like what is on offer both with the books and DVDs. Thank you for allowing visitors the opportunity to use your excellent library.
  • Nice large library but there are people boarder line living in there and that carries an oder that can be hard to escape along with a lack of respect for the restrooms can leave them occasionally smelling of cigarettes or weed and worse. Not the libraries fault but definitely has gone down hill with the growing homeless population there.
  • You like homeless? You'll LOVE this place! Security is overzealous. Computer use is limited due to, yup, you guessed it, homeless. The city has homeless right on main street sidewalks, ironically sitting next to chained signs that say DO NOT SUPPORT PANHANDLING. Smoking in public (virtually anywhere in town) Sarasota is more popular than KKK meetings in Alabama.
