  • What an awesome experience! By far the best "farm" and historical site in the area. They feature multiple historical, pioneer areas with such awesome displays. There are many kids activities that my 4 and 6 year old enjoyed so much they would not leave. THEY OFFER FOLK SCHOOL! You can learn how to blow glass, farm, etc, etc, etc. There are so many nature trails and fun things to do. Camping sites, kids activities, youth activities, adult activities, a zip line, animals, vegetable garden, playground, ... we love it. Check out their website for AAAAALL the activities they offer, you will be surprised.
  • What a wonderful location to learn about old Florida pioneer history, farming, native plants, animals and so much more. With many pioneer structure's on the property, farm animals (including Cracker Cattle), a working blacksmith shop and General Store Museum there is some thing for everyone in the family to enjoy. There are miles of foot trails, a look out tower and a Children's Discovery Trail.
  • Just taking a ride and discovered this little GEM. If you visit Myakka State Park, this is not far from the north gate, normally open on weekends. I experience very friendly folks there and recommend it for a picnic or an afternoon.
  • A wonderful experience of "Old Florida." They champion nature. Great picnic spots. I love the Tadem house too.
