  • This was our second visit to the Big Cat Habitat. As always, the animals are beautiful and do appear to be well loved and cared for. It's the humans that run the place that leave me hesitant to give t...  more »

  • This place is great. I was initially worried about it's legitimacy, but it is very clear they have the utmost concern for every animal here. They are very informative about their animals, as all of them are rescued. They have two shows in which they talk about the difference between animal welfare vs animal rights and really encourage people to adopt from shelters and NOT to get an exotic animal as a pet. The staff are all very kind, the animals seem healthy, and tickets are incredibly reasonably priced. There is also a fun petting zoo, as well as opportunities to feed some animals.
  • Before I even walked through the door I had a rude exchange with a staff member. He overheard me talking to my friend about another rescue when he decided to insert himself into the conversation and give his 2 cents. He didn’t like the “viral” rescue because of the strict rules. “Rescues” don’t bash other rescues. And what’s up with making the cats preform. You “rescue” them only to force them to be an act. I wish this center was more education based to help people respect these animals and really help them. I will not be returning.
  • What a great day trip with my family!! We were first greeted by a huge Kodiak bear that we got to feed and say hello to - much to our amazement he waved back at us! I enjoyed the baby goats in the petting zoo, some really funny monkeys, beautiful birds, and the Big Cat Show was great!! This patriotic establishment offers free admission to military and first responders and is handicapped friendly. I couldn’t have had a better day. You’ve earned my highest recommendations!!
  • This place is amazing!!!! The shows are entertaining for all ages. The family that runs the place legitimately appear to love and take care of these animals. The animals are like family to them and it shows. Thank you for continuing to take in and care for these poor creatures who have been neglected and abandoned. You truly give them a home and that is beautiful ❤ If you are looking for a place to donate money you need look no further than Big Cat Habitat.
  • This is really not a zoo, it's a habitat for rescued animals and the difference is clear - the animals here are incredibly well cared-for and you can tell from the cats' beautiful coats. They do have a show, but you can tell they are really careful not to overwork Mia (the liger) and Barry White, the white tiger. I recommend visiting and donating - it's a worthy cause and they are clear that the wild is the best place for tigers and lions!
