  • Spectacular view. Short hike. Then several flights of stairs down with landing areas. Goes down to a landing area to watch the falls from afar. Totally did not dissappoint.

  • Absolutely amazing! The stairs to get the better view are completely worth it. There doesn't seem to be any path to the bottom of the falls, so you don't get the chance to get close to them, at least that we found. If I were in the area, I would go back. Parking is $3 using the envelope system.
  • Awesome falls! Plenty of parking. Easy 0.5 mile hike, fully paved. Bit of stairs at the end if you want to get a little closer to the falls. But stairs are optional. The falls is clearly visible at the end of the trail before the stairs start.
  • A bit foggy then the rain came in when we were there. The parking area is nice and not a bad walk to the lookout area. However, couldn't see too well when we were there. Probably beautiful when the sun is out. We took the stairs down to the other lookout area and could see just a little of the falls from there.
  • This is my Favorite waterfall HANDS DOWN. I've been coming here for over 1p years and it'sfor a good reason. Easiest hike for such a great view. It can be very dangerous if you don't use caution in some areas but just be smart and don't do dumb stuff, and always avoid the wet rocks they can be slippery! Enjoy!
  • Beautiful! The highest waterfall East of the Rockies. In the Nantahala National Forest. Fee is $3 per car. Restrooms on site. Paved trail to the upper overlook (handicap accessible). Stairs down to the lower overlook. Family friendly.
