  • A must see if you are in the area. Pay the park fee and walk in to see the falls. We didn't walk down because we were with small kids but absolutely amazing!!
  • We tried to visit on Tuesday 11/22 but the Forest Service had closed the gate for the parking lot and posted signs warning it was closed and fines of up to $5000 would be given for people who left the...  more »
  • Gorgeous views and great trails! You can hike to get better views of the waterfall and enjoy the beautiful fall colors

  • The water fall was easy to get to, if you could walk without issues. I was sad for older people that could not make the incline. If you want to go, but get winded walking up hill, or need assistance walking, take a wheel chair and somebody strong to push you. They have about 3 or 4 benches along the paved walkway. There are steps at the end of the walkway. But, you can see some of the waterfall from the end of the paved walkway.
  • Awesome Place kids loved it I loved it recommend
  • Don't forget to add this to your tour of western NC's waterfalls. The park is wheelchair accessible, however views of the falls itself, are not. There are lots of steps to the viewing area, but it's worth the effort.
  • Beautiful views well worth the short hike.
  • Beautiful waterfall. I definitely recommend hiking down to the base. A lot of switch backs, but it's a good little hike.
