  • This park is by far one of the most beautiful places to visit in Sonoma County. Beautiful views and it is very peaceful.  more »

  • Luckily this park wasn't destroyed by the recent fires. It is recommended to enjoy with your family, with a nice hike around the lake surrounded by beautiful shade trees. Highly recommended!  more »

  • Beautiful park surrounded by the gorgeous hills of Santa Rosa. The walking, cycling trail around a good part of the lake is paved, wide, mostly level and comfortable for cyclists, walkers, runners and folk with strollers. There are restrooms conveniently located between the large lake and swimming lagoon. There are also exercise stations distributed along the trails as well a children's playground. Two parking lots allow for entering the park on opposite sides of the lake and one has a pier. There are numerous benches, picnic tables, and a cafe which is open during the summer. I always enjoy walking whether alone or with friends. Check it out, you will be happy that you did!
  • The Rangers are rude and just mean. I was told I could pay for another day up I until the park closes at 7:30. Nope they came over to my camp site after I had spoken to them on more then one occasion and was told I had to leave. I had the money right there to pay but told me they didn't care and had to go. Even though I wasn't bothering anyone my camp site was clean. But they way they came off was more of a power Trip then just being nice. When I told her that I have been talking with the Ranger in morning and what he told me she said I was wrong and he didn't say that. He did tell me that I had until 7:30pm to pay for the night as my camp site wasn't reserved. Plus I bought a parking pass for the yr. If you have a RV or trailer not to the park to go to. They have no hook ups at all.
  • Excellent for people which don't decide to do a lot of work basically for beginners but with a lot of nice views and short routes. Nice places to enjoy sunsets and sunrise little lakes with ducks. Excellent for go with kids
  • Good experience overall but DON'T RENT PEDDLE BOATS! Their 4-person Peddle boats (not paddleboards) are the most cheap and difficult to use Peddle boats with uncomfortable seats I've ever tried--I've rented them several times and had them at summer camp as a child. The flimsy Rudder barely did anything to steer even when it was clear of weeds, the "adjustable" seats kept coming out of their sockets, and the peddles themselves were small and awkward to Peddle. I regret letting my father talk us into renting the peddle boat, it was a lousy time! The overall experience at the lake was nice and the boat rental staff were very nice and helpful. There were plenty quiet, private areas across the lake, despite being a very hot Sunday and father's day.
  • Beautiful park camping spots are far enough away from each other for privacy the rangers are nice and willing to help with parking
