Where to stay in Santa Rosa

The old claim that Santa Rosa is "Where Everything Comes Together" remains undeniably true, at least when it comes to its accommodations. Although you can always stay in San Francisco, just an hour to the south, Santa Rosa offers plenty of lodging options to suit every traveler's budget. You can choose from among luxury hotels, vacation rental homes, and inns, all within minutes of downtown. If you prefer to rough it in wine country, choose one of the area's rustic campgrounds.

  • This place is a a local treasure. A warm climate with an Ice Arena open year round!! There are all kinds of activities here to participate in and have fun. Watch hokey games and not be too cold! The Warm Puppy Cafe is there and not a bad place to meet, but the food and service leave much to be desired these days. Lots of parking and nice grounds to walk around. The Snoopy Gift shop a vast selection of all things Peanuts. It is a good place to take kids for a reward and watch them have fun.
  • Nice cold ice rink. Great place for birthday parties and other group events. The warm puppy Cafe has your average assortment of fast food. No alcohol.
  • Had a wonderful time here just skating. If you feel constricted by tight ice skates, ask for the hockey style skates. They're not as constrictive as the ice skaters are.
  • I fell in love skating here. Skated at coffee club hours a couple of times. Coaches, staff and people are very friendly and helpful. Now whenever I have friends to visit from other places, I have to show them this place. Even not getting on ice, but a tour of the museum and the gift shop is good for every age. Last weekend I even went there to watch an ice show, and the best part is it is FREE for everyone. I take pride in it as a local!
  • We skated with our "pup" and found it a terrific experience overall. We participated in the optional (and included) group lesson to firm up the fundamentals. Good atmosphere and good times, and the Zamboni comes out frequently to keep the ice in good shape.
