Enjoy an African adventure in wine country at Safari West. On the three-hour riding and walking tour, you'll see a variety of exotic wildlife, including gazelles, zebras, antelopes, Cape buffalo, and wildebeests. During the walking portion, admire colorful birds in the open-air aviary, and watch primates play in the branches on Lemur Island. After the safari, try some barbecue and local wine on the cafe's veranda. On-site lodging is available. For guided tours on an all-terrain vehicle, reserve in advance; space is limited. • Great place. loved the animals. Our guide Azalea was wonderful. I only wish there were more animals. Like elephants and big cats.
  • I was looking for something to occupy my day on a business trip with my husband in the Santa Rosa area. When I looked on line for activities in the area this was one of the fist on the list. The Peopl...  read more »
  • The place was well maintained and animals were treated with love and compassion. Thoroughly enjoyed the overnight stay.
  • Awesome facility, loved the Jeep tour and I definitely suggest taking advantage of walking around the facility again after your tour to see things you may have missed. We picked the 5pm to take advantage of the weather cooling down and the chance to see a nice sunset.
  • today on fathers day eight family members had the time of our lives on this :Safari west tour Our tour guide Ben had us in stitches the whole time Ben has such a wonderful sense of humor and his love for these animals is undeniable being in that natural environment and having these wonderful creatures a few feet away and some a arm length away! was astonishing Your the best Ben
  • Surprisingly great! The tour is fun with lots of interesting animals, seen up close in a fairly wild setting. I worry a bit that some of them in the more zoo-like area don't have the best habitat (Like a Serval pacing in a worrying way), but mostly seems good. The tent cabins are very nice, but also very noisy from all the birds and things down in the zoo-like area; bring earplugs. Food was okay.
  • Wish I could rate this 0 stars if I could. We stayed here overnight in one of the hillside tents over the July 4th weekend. Lamp in room was broken, bed was not made and there was no soap or toiletries in the bathroom. Although I paid for a full safari, I was not allowed to complete the walking tour of the portion. Save your money and skip the overnight stay. Very rude checkout staff and management who do not care one bit about customer service.
  • Absolutely hands down the best experience for kids and adults alike. This place is wonderful. The tour is fun, exciting, and educational. The tour guides are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The "mini zoo" has interesting animals and the aviary is super cool - walking through puts you right in the middle of a different world. Stay for lunch as the food is excellent - it's a buffet but still excellent. My family and I will be back and I encourage you to take the kids (or yourself) there for a visit. What an amazing place!
