Where to stay in Santa Rosa

The old claim that Santa Rosa is "Where Everything Comes Together" remains undeniably true, at least when it comes to its accommodations. Although you can always stay in San Francisco, just an hour to the south, Santa Rosa offers plenty of lodging options to suit every traveler's budget. You can choose from among luxury hotels, vacation rental homes, and inns, all within minutes of downtown. If you prefer to rough it in wine country, choose one of the area's rustic campgrounds.

  • Was visiting near by and we walked over to Railroad Square. What a great little spot to have lunch, do a little window shopping, and enjoy some great coffee. We really enjoyed sipping lattes at Aroma ...  more »
  • Not too much to see here, but the people in the Visitors' Center are extremely helpful as well as friendly. A short distance to the Schulz Museum.  more »
  • This square has a quaint hotel/restaurant, a chain Mexican restaurant and several coffee shops on three sides with the railroad track on the 4th. Within several blocks are restaurants and antique shop...  more »

  • This is one of my favorite parts of Santa Rosa. There is so much there, so much diversity and community. This was the transportation hub of all of Sonoma County and it will hopefully be more important again once the SMART Trains start actually carrying people. It was were much of the commerce took place for the entire County. While it is not the hub it once was, it is still culturally and economically important. It has fine energy and perfect examples of great local business, like the West End Farmers Market, Toad in the Whole Pub, The Arlene Francis Center and Bike Monkey and not so great. It is a hub of small businesses taking part in keeping things happy and healthy while making a living and with the perhaps necessary accents of big goofy Corp Business that is the antithesis of what make this place special!
  • A few nice places to get food, drinks or coffee. Unless there is an event happening there isn't a whole lot to do or see
  • Very pretty store! High-priced, but pretty
  • A shopping drinking eating experience.
  • Nice place to Visit
