(4.5/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Visit Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, dedicated to "Peanuts" comics and featuring 7,000 original comic strip drawings and various artwork. See the recreation of Schulz's work area, with his original drawing board. You'll meet the evolving personae of Snoopy, carved in a 43-layer wooden sculpture, and see a mural of Lucy and Charlie Brown containing 3,588 comic strip images painted on 5 x 20 cm (2 x 8 in) ceramic tiles. You can learn to become a cartoonist in the education room, where hands-on activities invite would-be artists of all ages (it's included with the price of admission). Browse through original artworks created for the comics, see Shultz's personal items, such as ice skates and a bowling ball, and take a walk through a labyrinth in the shape of Snoopy's head. You'll find other treasures outside the museum, including a cafe and ice skating arena. Put Charles M. • A must for any snoopy, charlie brown, linus, sally, lucy fan. Expect to spend at least 2 hours reading all the great ol comics.
  • A fun and friendly place to visit and take the kids. The guides we encountered we a great source of information and told some wonderful stories as well. Lots of things to see and activities for kids. Not a full day experience, but a fun afternoon visit.
  • Museum honors Mr. Schulz and reminds us of why the Peanuts characters are to be adored. In addition to plenty of historical documentation to make it a bonafide museum, there are kid-friendly areas to enjoy and occasionally special kids' activities. Plenty of photo opps with large statues of Peanuts characters and a mural of comic strip tiles. Colorful comic strip tiles even adorn the bathroom.
