Where to stay in Santa Fe

Though the downtown area contains most of Santa Fe's finest hotels, you can find plenty of equally comfortable inns and motels just outside this busy central district. Remember also that most of the city's centrally located hotels raise their prices during the height of the tourist season, so it is essential to look for deals and make reservations well in advance. To experience the true spirit of outdoor New Mexico while on holiday, consider sleeping under the stars at a campground just a short drive from Santa Fe's major urban attractions.

  • We visited Santa Fe 3 days in May.The ski lodge was closed but the ride up the mountain is stunning, 13,000 ft I believe , thru the clouds. Only 28 degress out an we did not have winter wear , or woul...  more »
  • Only 25 mins from downtown Santa Fe, it can seem like your personal ski resort on the weekdays. Green and blue ski runs are well groomed, and there are many tree runs, and some quite tough black diamo...  more »
  • Nice mountain when everything is open, they have alot of intermediate fun trails connecting the upper and lower parts, reasonable lift ticket prices and ski rentals...  more »

  • Pretty much the best small local mountain I have been to. The lifts are more than good enough for the numbers that come here and it has a decent variety of terrain for a 2-3 day visit. Add in the fact you have Santa Fe to explore and it makes for a great vacation.
  • Beautiful skii area. The snow was just right for newbies to pro. The services were great. We'll be back.
  • Visited from Texas we wanted just to go up on lift and then come down. This wasn't an option unless you had ski gear would have paid regular price just to go up and come back.... Please consider making that an option for visitors... Other than that views we're awesome
  • The Sangre De Cristo Mountain Range is one of the most beautiful in New Mexico. A place to get lost in the woods in the summer and find yourself in the winter on a perfect snow day. Ski Santa Fe had clean facilities at their ski resort, groomed trails and well maintained lifts at an affordable ticket price. Plenty of mellow groomed trails for beginners, and beat your heart out your chest cliffs if your feeling the mojo. There is not a hotel at this resort, so plan a stay in Santa Fe, nearest hotel is 10,000 waves resort and offers public hot tubs.
  • Probably the best maintained ski resort in NM. Even when the weather isn't perfect for skiing, the grooming and snow machines keep the runs in great condition. Prices are reasonable. The adaptive ski program is really cool and there are a lot of options for beginners. Only downsides: no speed lifts and no bowls.
