We like art, and most of the art attractions we visited in Santa Fe. This one however, was too unusual for us. A whole wall with magazine covers.... One or two of the displays interested us, but sorry...  more »

Great contemporary museum in the Railyard arts district. Amazing discovery in a part of Santa Fe that is a great secret. The Railyard arts district is the most exciting new development in Santa Fe. I ...  more »

I think Site Santa Fe is an overlooked museum in Santa Fe. It always has thought provoking and interesting exhibitions. While not a collection of art, it brings together contemporary art with an empha...  more »

One the staff was rude. Didn't like the look of me i guess. Kept harassing me. Kept asking, can i help u. Over and over wouldn't say anything else. Don't go there! There are much better and friendly museums and art galleries to go to in Santa fe.

    Must visit for contemporary art

Shows are sometimes hit or miss, but take a tour with Virginia and she'll at least make it worth the time and money. It is also often "free" on fridays (tickets are sponsored by a foundation), so call and see if it will be before showing up!

You call that art? Glad it was a free day. My kids could make it here....

Where to stay in Santa Fe

Though the downtown area contains most of Santa Fe's finest hotels, you can find plenty of equally comfortable inns and motels just outside this busy central district. Remember also that most of the city's centrally located hotels raise their prices during the height of the tourist season, so it is essential to look for deals and make reservations well in advance. To experience the true spirit of outdoor New Mexico while on holiday, consider sleeping under the stars at a campground just a short drive from Santa Fe's major urban attractions.
