I tend to agree with previous reviews as there was not that much special going on here when we visited just after 1pm on a Tuesday. This attraction was recommended in all the travel literature, when i...  more »

A railyard is a railyard, is a railyard, is a railyard, so I cannot understand why all the tourist brochures make such a big deal of it. Mind you, it was Sunday afternoon and the Farmer's Market and t...  more »

Apparently there are no longer any taxis available in Santa Fe so get your shuttle, ride, or Uber sorted before you arrive in Santa Fe. We arrived in SF by train on a Sunday and the depot itself was c...  more »

My husband and I were having a chill day while we were in Santa Fe and we decided to go to the movies in the Rail Yard. We heard that this was a pretty cool area, so we went about an hour early to walk around and check it out. Well to be honest there was not much to see and not many people there either. We went on a Thursday afternoon, and from what we could tell they have activities and things set up for weekends possibly because it looked to us like they were setting things up outside in some parts. There were a couple of art showcases, but those were not open as well. The movie theater was fantastic with a nice bar/patio/eating area inside, so we we spent our time in there before our show. If you decide to go to the Railyard I would suggest making sure something is going on there prior to your visit.

Quite a fine tourist attraction. From the booths to the Santa Fe Southern Railway and New Mexico Rail Runner Express excursions, it's quite a sight to see in Santa Fe. There, you can especially have a view of the rising and setting sun, along with the view of the mountains in the horizon as well.

Good place to walk and take a stroll , not far from town center.

Fun farmers market with a "LOCAL" focus. Apparel, homemade jellies and artisan breads, jewelry, and fresh flowers and the like abound.

This place is Amazing, took the train up and enjoyed two fun days just in the Railyard area, plenty to do and see.

Where to stay in Santa Fe

Though the downtown area contains most of Santa Fe's finest hotels, you can find plenty of equally comfortable inns and motels just outside this busy central district. Remember also that most of the city's centrally located hotels raise their prices during the height of the tourist season, so it is essential to look for deals and make reservations well in advance. To experience the true spirit of outdoor New Mexico while on holiday, consider sleeping under the stars at a campground just a short drive from Santa Fe's major urban attractions.
