  • Lots and lots of organic products. Was late fall when we visited so expect late fall crops. Chile vendor was custom roasting chiles. One farmer was selling "micro greens" that were so fresh he cut the...  more »

  • I have traveled many places and always try to catch the local farmers market. This one exceeds all others. First rule though. Leave your dog at home. The market does not permit pets. Do bring a lot of...  more »

  • Lots of produce and organic stuff. People there were very helpful and friendly. Wish we'd have know (before we left ) that there were also Artists on the other side of the road. (Out of towner don't automatically know that)
  • A great place to shop for food and support local New Mexican producers and farmers. Greens, chiles, beans, hominy, cheese, bread, kefir, mushrooms, etc. Raw produce and "value-added" foods like sauces and wines. A fun place to people watch, hear some live music, and see some cool cooking demos as well. Double Up food bucks is also accepted here. It's a wonderful place for everyone. Right across from the artist's market.
  • Lots of wonderful organic food of all sort. Great breakfast pastries and burritos. Very limited seating.
  • Great place for fresh herbs, produce, etc. Also wonderful for local crafts and home goods. Look for the tea towels! Try to get there before 11, especially in the winter months, as vendors start to pack up right around noon.
  • Lots of excellent people, loads of independently grown and hand made products....Will make you smile.

Where to stay in Santa Fe

Though the downtown area contains most of Santa Fe's finest hotels, you can find plenty of equally comfortable inns and motels just outside this busy central district. Remember also that most of the city's centrally located hotels raise their prices during the height of the tourist season, so it is essential to look for deals and make reservations well in advance. To experience the true spirit of outdoor New Mexico while on holiday, consider sleeping under the stars at a campground just a short drive from Santa Fe's major urban attractions.
