Children’s Museum Museum
Founded in 1985, The Santa Fe Children’s Museum builds upon a child's natural sense of joy and discovery by cultivating habits of inquiry in the arts, sciences, and humanities. As one of the top children’s destinations in Santa Fe, the Museum hosts over 80,000 visitors per year, including 10,000 school children on field trips. The museum also offers one of the largest teen employment, internship and volunteer opportunities in New Mexico. As an educational institution, the Museum provides leadership on issues concerning children. Through its exhibits, programs, staffing, and governance, the museum recognizes and reflects its community’s economic, ethnic, and cultural diversity. The Santa Fe Children’s Museum is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Where to stay in Santa Fe

Though the downtown area contains most of Santa Fe's finest hotels, you can find plenty of equally comfortable inns and motels just outside this busy central district. Remember also that most of the city's centrally located hotels raise their prices during the height of the tourist season, so it is essential to look for deals and make reservations well in advance. To experience the true spirit of outdoor New Mexico while on holiday, consider sleeping under the stars at a campground just a short drive from Santa Fe's major urban attractions.

  • Very cute! Your child will enjoy it! Though not big, it still gives at least two or three hours of play to children 10 and under. The outside area is pretty large, and a true oasis for adults under the trees, while children dig in the sand, play in the boat, climb the big Rubik's cube or run around :-)
  • If your child likes playing in water, they'll love it. There is a water feature that runs a long way in the building. There are outdoor activities and gardens. The toddler room has a lot of toys and books.
  • AWESOME PEOPLE and an awesome place to take your kids. My camp did missions here and they were extremely grateful for out comtributions
  • We visited with Children ranging in age from 3 to 11 and lots of fun was had by all. Fun, clean, beautiful indoor and out!
