Where to stay in Santa Fe

Though the downtown area contains most of Santa Fe's finest hotels, you can find plenty of equally comfortable inns and motels just outside this busy central district. Remember also that most of the city's centrally located hotels raise their prices during the height of the tourist season, so it is essential to look for deals and make reservations well in advance. To experience the true spirit of outdoor New Mexico while on holiday, consider sleeping under the stars at a campground just a short drive from Santa Fe's major urban attractions.

  • A little disappointed that several sections were closed or being updated while we were there. Kind of feel like it was way too expensive for what we saw. Did the whole thing in 20 minutes.  more »
  • We went into the Museum expecting a large collection of art but were surprised to find a smaller collection and mostly all Southwestern art. I guess we were hoping for something a bit more universal, ...  more »
  • My wife & I enjoyed touring this gem, located in the heart of Santa Fe, on the Plaza. There was an hors d'oeuvres reception in the courtyard & free admission to the museum - from 5pm-8pm every Friday ...  more »

  • Considering how Santa Fe is an international art mecca the New Mexico Museum of Art isn't grand and doesn't have a vast collection. This museum however is quite nice and has several pieces which showcases New Mexican art. Worth a visit.
  • New Mexican art museum nice gift shop and pretty court yard and building
  • Small collection, not particularly engaging works or exhibits. For New Mexican art, the capitol building is a better bet
  • Not a large museum but very unusual art work. Enjoy our visit. Like the history museum better.
  • Nice museum but the guy follow you around like you are a criminal take away the experience...
