  • We could have spent another 1-2 hours more to really take this in. Some wonderful history and artwork. It has a beautiful court yard and the architecture is the authentic work.  more »
  • Very good NM and western art museum, located close to the Plaza. Always enjoy both the standing and traveling exhibits, and provides a nice retrospective of the NM art movement.  more »

  • Great museum. Has a nice classic collection of artifacts. Nice modern paintings. On the outside they actually have a garden of things the Pueblos would use for clothing and they have art on a garden entrance close to the museum. Tje restaurants food smelled delicious
  • Wonderful museum with clean setup and follow. Also a blue star museum.
  • Considering how Santa Fe is an international art mecca the New Mexico Museum of Art isn't grand and doesn't have a vast collection. This museum however is quite nice and has several pieces which showcases New Mexican art. Worth a visit.
  • Closed for renovation till November 24th
  • New Mexican art museum nice gift shop and pretty court yard and building

Where to stay in Santa Fe

Though the downtown area contains most of Santa Fe's finest hotels, you can find plenty of equally comfortable inns and motels just outside this busy central district. Remember also that most of the city's centrally located hotels raise their prices during the height of the tourist season, so it is essential to look for deals and make reservations well in advance. To experience the true spirit of outdoor New Mexico while on holiday, consider sleeping under the stars at a campground just a short drive from Santa Fe's major urban attractions.
