  • The owner is extremely rude! I have never met a more rude person! She is very snooty and follows everyone around her property and pesters them the entire time you are there. The only saving grace was the lady that worked there and was so sweet and knowledgeable. It was all down hill when the owner came out and announced that she was the owner. She was very worried about her statues and gardens and actually told us not to walk around. She does not like children and does not want them on her property! She kept telling us how expensive her statues are and that she does not have insurance on them, and she does not want children touching them! Our children never touched her statues and were extremely well mannered. Her wine is very average. We will never return! Absolutely awful experience! I highly recommend going to the Dixon & Taos wineries instead. They have amazing wine, beautiful grounds & very friendly owners and staff to make sure you have a wonderful experience. Update: Everything the owner said was sadly so untrue. She knows this because she even comped our wine. She even told us as we walked out the door how well behaved our children were. She knew what she did was very wrong. Our family was there and my children never touched the sculptures or ran around. Notice how she said first, that my children were " looking", because that's all they ever did. If the owner is trying to pass her awful treatment of us off as, "bad children running around her property" she is totally lying! The only thing that occurred was that we came to the tasting room, ordered wine and walked outside. She came running after us because she is afraid of children being on her property. She kept saying children love the statues and she is very worried, because they are so expensive and she has no insurance on them. She not only told my children not to walk around, but also told my husband and I not to walk around. In her words, "there was nothing to see?!" I said, "Well then why do you have a garden, if we cannot walk around?!" It was so strange. We left with her apologizing. We made sure to leave the sweet woman behind the counter a good tip because she deserved it! Had it been her running the place, it would have been much more enjoyable experience! The owner is a very rude person who obviously does not like children. My family and I love to support New Mexico businesses and promote them. We had never felt so unwelcome. This will never be a business we promote. I cannot tell you how many wineries we have visited with our family all over the country, sadly this is one I highly recommend you stay away from!! Plus the wine is nothing special. I would never write a review to harm a buisness. This review is based totally on our experience. I never ever write reviews and this one I felt obligated to write.
  • Great place to visit on your way up the high road to Truchas
  • Loved the winery and its whole make up. The young lady, who did the tastings, was very pleasant and Knowledgeable. My only criticism would be that after 3 tasting, 3 glasses of wine with cheese and crackers and buying a case of wine they could have offered the tastings at no charge and to top it off they charged $3.00 for a half sleeve of crackers when I can buy a box for less. Having said this I would recommend a visit to it, very charming.
  • Finely crafted wine, with creative styles (like the Mourvèdre). Even if you're not blown away by the wine (like many people with NM wines), it's worth it just for the gorgeous vineyard and patio. ...keep up the nice work! Hard working owners.
  • The wine was pretty good, but it's totally worth it just to come have a glass of wine in their garden / patio area. It's amazing! Lots of rose bushes and flowers and fruit trees all around.
