  • The beach is very pretty, but a little scruffy in parts. There were a few homeless folks on the beach and in some parts we found dog poop. The part by the lighthouse was nicer and cleaner.

  • $10 to park right at the beach. If you are fit and can walk up and down a very steep group of stairs, there is free parking at the top of the hill. We had a person with trouble walking with us, so.....  more

  • Great spot to just watch the waves crash
  • This is my favorite beach to visit often. I love watching the ever-evolving shape of the river's mouth over time, and the epic piles of driftwood that wash up after major storms.
  • Love this beach, really enjoy visiting both on my own and particularly with my grandchildren and volunteering with the Groundswell group that plants natives and removes invasive plant species.
  • Nice beach. Quieter than the main one. No restrooms nearby though. Lighthouse also gets some waves so that’s cool
  • Nice big beach a little bit away from main beach. Only downside is there was a bunch of small wood and charcoal on the beach from fires. Dogs are allowed on leash. I believe you can have fires at night, but not 100% sure There are active lifeguards during the weekend.
