  • We had a great view and close proximity to the wharf from our hotel at the Howard Johnson. Excellent shops and stores for souvenirs and great dining as well. Stellar sunrises from the pier in the morn...  read more »
  • My favorite thing in Santa Cruz is walking the wharf. Great restaurants and history. Try Gilda's for breakfast. Or The Stagnaro Bros for a great seafood lunch and cocktail. Those are two of my favorit...  read more »
  • Really special place to relax and have fun at the same time. Great beach view summer time is great. Loved it
  • It could be such a magical place if they would just maintain and clean it better. It feels like nothing has been done to the place for 2 decades. It looks old and worn. Yet still a nice stroll with lots to see. A few nice restaurants and of course the sea lions that have made the structure below their home.
  • Neat warf. Great place to see sea lions!! Saw a bunch of them on the lower pier supports. They have 3 large "holes" cut into thr pier that you can look down through & see a lot of them. Great area.
  • Fun place to visit, with many shops and restaurants. You can check out the seals and sea lions that are always lounging under the wharf. We have even been able to see whales come by. Walk down to the beach to see some amazing sand sculptures.
  • We had a good time with friends enjoying it it was a little cool which was nice but we could see plenty of sea lions in the area and fisherman on the pier it's a very festive atmosphere with gift shops and souvenirs shops all along the pier
  • Crowded and fishy. I was a little queasy before I arrived, so walking past all those fish restaurants didn't help. Cool to see the sea lions under the pier.
