The four sections at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari allow you to partake in amusement park rides, food, and music all themed around a different major holiday. The complex's unusual name comes from the inspiration of its host town, Santa Claus, Indiana. You can travel through areas dedicated to Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and the Fourth of July as you progress through the park, regardless of the time of year. Thrill-seekers can indulge in the three classic wooden roller coasters, a signature attraction. Don't miss the site's water park, which offers water slides, wave pools, and what's claimed to be the world's longest water coaster rides. I take a group every year the first weekend of Holiday World's fall pricing. The lines are short and the temp is usually pretty low. My group had a great time. Definitely recommend. They need more sha... more »

The nice, no, very nice, staff at Holiday World could be their strongest characteristic. But, the roller coasters would have to take the top spot. Amazing. The water park is fantastic, too. However, t... more »

I cannot say enough good things about Holiday World. We were thoroughly impressed by the park! The rides are great, the staff are courteous (and it is well staffed), the prices are very fair, and this is BY FAR the cleanest theme park I've ever been to. I don't believe I saw a single piece of litter inside of the park and the restrooms were very clean. Also, I've never felt more safe riding theme park rides. I could tell they were well maintained and the staff were very serious about safety. Holiday World doesn't gouge you for parking, they offer you unlimited drinks (included with your entry), and the food inside of the park is delicious. This is such a rarity nowadays.... I hope that they know how much their customers appreciate this gesture! If you're even considering going, do it; You will not be disappointed. This is THE theme park that you should support in the southern part of Indiana/ Northern Ky. I'm a little astounded at how impressed I am by this family-friendly park. It left that much of an impression on me and our party. Thank you Holiday World staff for making our trip fantastic! We cannot wait to return!

Would love to see the park stay open later only reason for the four star rating. 5 stars for the water park. Definitely enjoyed the free drinks. Sunscreen could be a little bit better protection. The concrete isn't the greatest to walk on in some area of the water park. Take flip flops, sandals, or water shoes with you everywhere. Food prices are typical for normal theme parks nothing to drastic. Will definitely be back!

This is the only theme park I've been to that didn't feel like they were turning me upside down and shaking money out of my pockets. They could easily pick up another $10 for parking and they don't and I appreciate that. They could easily hit you for $4 drinks and instead give them away so I'm not complaining about the price of anything there. The food price is comparable to a sit down restaurant but so is the quantity and quality and you can actually sit inside to eat so not sure what prior complaints expected. You can see this park spends a lot of time problem solving for regular people- you can get your kid measured once and they give them a bracelet to get through any line without being measured. 36" is the magic number - less than that there's plenty to do but you won't be riding many things. Our toddler was 36.5" and it took us two solid days to get through all the rides he could do. There are a LOT of rides for kids. The lockers are keyless and you can load money on a wristband so you can do this park hands free. Cannot say enough how fabulous a place this is. A real old fashioned fair melted subtly with the modern day amusement park. A steal at twice the price. See you next year!!

Great place to take the family for a day. They also have a Santa clause inn where people can stay and come back. They have free drinks and free sunscreen. The service is superb and everyone is very nice. One time when I family went their and it started to rain, the customer service people gave us free tickets to come back. They also give you a birthday pin if you tell them it's your birthday and show ID. The rides are nice and the park is clean. They have a nice assortment of rides for all ages. Only downside is they don't have that many roller coasters.

My kids are 7 and 9 and if my youngest was just a few inches taller I'd say they are the perfect age to enjoy the park. He is tall enough to ride everything but the thunderbird. Moat of the coasters are ROUGH and not my thing but to each their own. There is an area for little kids but if your kid is free that's probably because there isn't much to cater to that age. My 9 year old can ride most of the rides in that area. You can bring in empty cups so if you have little ones plan ahead. Lots of hills so be prepared for a workout. There is so much space in the park these days that so far this year the longest we have waited in line is 15 minutes. Expect longer waits on weekends. Wear good shoes in all areas or you will leave with sore feet! Decent food but long wait for it. Most restaurants are run by 14-16 yr old. Customer service and training for the kids who work in the restaurants could be better. Since its seasonal i can see why it would be harder to find prime employees for these positions. All in all we enjoy our time at the park. The season passes we bought this year are perfect for short (weekday)trips for a few hours at a time and keep us from being worn out and cranky by the end of the day. There is a good chance we will buy season passes again next year!
