Shoreline Park, a long, narrow ocean-side strip of land on top of a mesa (i.e. coastal bluff), is located in Santa Barbara, California, United States. Facing the Pacific Ocean, Shoreline Park is one of Santa Barbara's most popular parks.Park FacilitiesThe park includes a playground, picnic area, a whale watching area with a telescope situated next to a statue of a large concrete whale tail, as well as a sister city Japanese garden. The park also provides a clear view of the Channel Islands on a good day, and Gray Whale may be observed during their migration months, along with a number of marine mammals including dolphins and seals.A Torii gateway atop the bluff leads to a wooden staircase descending to the tidal beach about 53ft feet below, which is completely submerged during high tide and accessible only during low tide. During the low tide periods, the adjacent Leadbetter Beach and Arroyo Burro Beach (aka Hendry's Beach) are accessible to the east and west, respectively.Add Shoreline Park and other attractions to your Santa Barbara trip itinerary using our Santa Barbara trip builder site .

Shoreline Park Reviews
This park is beautiful with lush, green grass, a view of the ocean and the mountains and even the channel islands on a clear day. There are bathrooms, picnic benches and a playground. Highly recommend... more »
Right off the tender dock, this park is a lovely park to walk along and easy access to State Street bus and the Funk Zone. more »
Si venís recorriendo la ruta 1 verás lindas playas, pero una playa linda, un lugar cuidado, ordenado, limpio, con varias comodidades hace que sea una parada obligada. I recommend lunch, buy any fast food somewhere and stop here. Where there is parking, bathrooms, tables, games.
Shoreline Park is spacious and pretty. Vast views of the ocean, sky and mountains. Lots of green grass, picnic tables, walking areas and a wonderful play area for kids! People walk their dogs and themselves on the clean, well maintained sidewalks. There are public bathrooms and the views are truly spectacular! One thing that is odd though, when I left my house it was sunny and warm, up on the Mesa it was chilly and extremely windy. Very odd. Great place for meeting up with friends and walking or picnicking.
It's a great place to get away from the Santa Barbara crowds near the pier and Harper. We enjoyed the relative Solitude sitting on a bench overlooking the ocean. There were plenty of restroom facilities and a drinking fountain. Plenty of parking and a nice bike path as well
If there is ever an iconic park to walk through by the ocean, this is it. The weather is perfect, the people are friendly, and even the dogs are well behaved. Dolphins can be seen in the ocean, surfers wait for the perfect wave, sea birds glide gently overhead, and children play on the playground to the smell of BBQ grills cooking up something good. If I didn't know better, I'd say this was a scene out of the town of the Stepford Wives......but it's real. I love it.
Nice park to go for walks, bike riding or running. Often can see dolphins swim by close to shore. Can watch the cruise ships who co me to visit. You can also take your dogs for walks, the kids can play at a small playground. One can also barbeque or just have a picnic on the grass or use the tables there.beautiful park with a view of the mountains and of course the ocean.
Nice park atop a beautiful cliff view of the ocean. Just West a skip away from Leadbetter Beach. Has a lot of green grass for dogs to frolic on. A couple of bathrooms and drinking fountain. Has some stairs that lead you directly to the beach at the base of the cliff.
