  • Small but interesting. The museum is worth a walk-through as you wander the yacht harbor. There a Manu places nearby to stop for lunch or beverages as you view the harbor.  more »
  • a fine small museum with neat exhibits chronicling highlights of coastal lore in the santa barbara area.  more »
  • Small but well thought for the young kids.they may affect fish. It's the same right of entry to the Museum of natural sciences

  • I got to visit here for free through some online promotion. I took all three of my kids and they spent many hours looking at historic equipments. I liked watching video about surfing and they have nice photography displayed on the wall. Nice place to visit if you are in Santa Barbara
  • The maritime museum Is a neat little spot to check out if you want to catch up on the local history of coast of Santa Barbara, when you walk in you will see a few shots of the old boat that used to run in and out of the harbor also along with a large sea diving helmet that they used made of all brass, it's pretty cool. In the back of the place they have also a basketball court but I don't think it's open to the public. Also the museum is connected to a restaurant next door so it makes a good after dinner walk.
  • Had a great time and it seemed small at first, but upon further investigation you find a very good selection of exhibits that are very informative as well as a great way of learning about the local history of Santa Barbara that we were not aware of. Highly recommend it for a great part of family fun while visiting the Harbor!!!
  • Great collection of maritime artifacts. Whoever is the interactive exhibit designer is a genius!
  • A fun collection of marine history and hands-on stations. The kids were especially excited by the fishing simulator and the second floor periscope with a 360 degree view of the harbor.
