  • Stopped in and was captivated by the great exhibits. Went up to rooftop and was amazed at the beautiful view of the harbor and hillsides. Docent was very informative and helpful.
  • Visitors get a real education into what the early settlers who arrived by ship dealt with while struggling to establish themselves in Santa Barbara.
  • the sweet little museum is a great stop with kids. they actually get to touch sharks and sea cucumbers and starfish.
  • I got to visit here for free through some online promotion. I took all three of my kids and they spent many hours looking at historic equipments. I liked watching video about surfing and they have nice photography displayed on the wall. Nice place to visit if you are in Santa Barbara
  • A fun collection of marine history and hands-on stations. The kids were especially excited by the fishing simulator and the second floor periscope with a 360 degree view of the harbor.
  • The maritime museum Is a neat little spot to check out if you want to catch up on the local history of coast of Santa Barbara, when you walk in you will see a few shots of the old boat that used to run in and out of the harbor also along with a large sea diving helmet that they used made of all brass, it's pretty cool. In the back of the place they have also a basketball court but I don't think it's open to the public. Also the museum is connected to a restaurant next door so it makes a good after dinner walk.
  • Cool place. I'm not that much into boats, but my friends like it a lot.
  • This is a nice little museum. It will only take you about an hour and half, but there is a lot of interesting Santa Barbara history here.
