  • I love exploring thrift shops. Sanibel Island doesn't seem to have any thrift shops, but they did have this -- the Islander Trading Post Antiques. When you step inside, it is almost overwhelming how every nook and cranny is jammed full of old stuff (but good looking old stuff). It was very pricey -- I couldn't afford anything, including the small back room that has reproductions were pricey -- but it was a not of fun exploring and seeing so many cool old things, and having them bring back memories of my very young childhood. If I ever win the lottery, I will be back!
  • Great place to stop and visit. So many items you could spend hours there looking at everything
  • Like others have said, the prices are higher than one might expect them to be, but the gentleman I spoke with behind the counter was willing to work with me on prices and was very kind. The place is packed - every shelf is completely full, but organized (he has Coke antiques in one spot, sport stuff in one section, other things grouped together are organized by state, etc.) so if you're looking for something specific, he probably has it or something very close/ similar. I would definitely check this place out for yourself even if you aren't a huge fan of unique finds. Definitely a go-to spot for me any time I'm in Florida.
  • Everything is nicely displayed and categorized. They have thousands and thousands of items and its a lot to take in. The prices are a little high but that comes with the location. All in all its a great place to stop.
  • Very rude to our kids. Our kids stayed right by our sides the entire time we were in the store and we did not let them touch anything breakable. My 7 year old son left sobbing. Very hurtful to see people have such disgust for your children. Would leave 0 stars if I could :(
