This course is simply FUN! There is a lot of shots you hit blind and there is a lot of visual awareness that comes into play on most holes. Elevation changes galore and visually stimulating on every s... read more »
Played the course whilst on a visit to Pinehurst in September 2016. The course is visually intimidating but if you can hit a ball more or less straight you can play the course. The sandy waste areas do... read more »

Fantastic course! Seriously, if you have the opportunity to play here, do not pass it up. Easily the most enjoyable round of golf I've ever played, and I play a lot of golf. One of the most unique courses on the planet and incredibly fun to play. Do not pass on this course.
I have played there maybe 15 times and I have a funny and compelling story from each round. From almost hitting my friend when he was taking a picture to getting my first and only hole in one on the third hole. The course is typically in excellent shape and the new greens are great. The staff is top notch and the course views are incredible. Before you play here you had better know how long you hit each club and be able to hit your spots. This is target golf at it's finest. You do not need to be a giant hitter to play well here just know your distances and stay in the proper areas of the green..... If you cut the corner on 11 and do not make it, my buddy has the record in our group, 7 shots to get out of the waste area. Thank you Michael Strantz for an absolute beauty of a layout. Rest in Peace.
Great golf course. Difficult yet enjoyable. Massive sand dunes all over the course that makes for a beautiful, competitive golf course. Really liked playing here!
0800 tee time, put out 0810, didn,t get any better from there. 2 hour 30 minute front nine. Course is very nice condition and difficult. Quit after 12 holes, just way too slow. Martials out there but no real effect. Folks are nice.
The general manager is not a very nice person, we called before we drove 5 hours to play to check and see if any course maintenance was being done and where told no. When we arrived we found the greens had just been verticutt. After we played 18 we stopped in the club house to have a beer and mentioned it to the general manager and he got real ugly we weren't looking for anything for him but apparently he thought we wanted something. All we where doing was letting him know, he told us if we didn't like it don't come back. Well with that attitude towards customers I don't recommend anyone play there.
