  • I have been visiting Sandy Hook all my life and each time I come here, there's always something I haven't seen before. It has a rich history and some of the nicest beaches in all of New Jersey. The best time to go is off season, when it's less crowded.
  • I have been here many times from its beaches to hiking trails and of course Sandy Hook lighthouse and Fort Hancock. If you like bird watching or photography this place is for you. You have to pay by the carload from Memorial Day to Labor day but before and after is free admission. Highly recommended go and enjoy.
  • We go here quite a bit regardless of the season. In the spring, summer and fall there are events. The trails are open year round for biking, hiking or walking. There is so much to see. I have been going out there my whole life and there are still parts I have yet to explore. We really enjoy going up into the light house. We get a real history lesson, going through Fort Hancock. There is of course swimming and fishing.
  • There are shelters with space for grilling. Come early because they fill up quickly. It is also a nice place to ride a bike or see wildlife.
  • Perfect and quiet place for your Sunday walk on the beach during winter/spring. I'm yet to see how the place looks in the sunset though. Ocean waves, soft beach sand and the sun made it a perfect afternoon for me and wife.
