Maui Sands Indoor Waterpark, Sandusky

The kids (and adults too) had a blast. Everyone on staff was super nice and made our stay even more enjoyable. When we didn't have any regular coffee in our room they apologized and cheerfully ran us up 3 more packs. It was a great overall experience. They are not as fancy or shiny as say a Great Wolf Lodge and that's why I have them 4 our of 5 stars. Still great value for the money and great staff!

A while back I went with my family and we didn't have much fun because of the temperature and the quality of stay. We went again this weekend and it was a really great experience. We spent a decent amount on food, the resort quality has improved tremendously - no sign of bugs in the pool area or bed bugs in the room. The food itself isn't amazing, but it is a good price. There is an arcade/game room and other services that made it accessible for all ages and types of people. The hospitality was great and one of the managers I talked to when I had an issue was really friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back again especially with the fantastic price!

I’m horrified after watching Hotel Impossible that aired on 11/13/2017 episode-141. This place is infested with bed bugs-EVERYWHERE🤢! There is 100% complete lack for guest safety among the owners. They invested in an extermination company that exterminated HALF the hotel while they closed the other half. What do they think will happen to the closed half? The bed bugs will, in due time, continue to make their way to the occupied rooms slowly infesting the entire place place again! The owners are most worried about revenue. Where is corporate? Why aren’t they involved with helping to shut this place down until public safety can be restored to the guests that visit the place? Having smoke alarms malfunctioning, taking home creepy crawlers, having rotting wood gate poles in the pool area, having the general physical appearance of the hotel be in disrepair and uncared for, and rust everywhere isn’t a hotel where management, owners, and corporate put guest safety as number. VISITOR BEWARE!

I went to this place years ago with my family and I’ve gotta say, a lot has changed since my initial visit. The staff is 10 times nicer, the park is much much cleaner and the rooms are extremely well kept. Also, when we had already booked our room online, we asked the staff if we could switch to a different room closer to the lobby and they were more than accommodating. I would definitely recommend another visit here, a ton has changed.

We came New Year's Eve as an overnight stay. We had a room with a queen and two sets of bunk beds. It was a blast! The room and building was clean and ready for us. The staff at check in, check out, and in the water park were extremely friendly and helpful. This has been an amazing stay and we look forward to coming back!
