  • Our first time here to see a concert. We had seats in row 15 which were great. But the lawn looked like a nice place to relax with a low backed chair. Food is served by food trucks. I tried the tacos ...  read more »
  • This course is also challenging and offers nice views. All levels of golfers can enjoy this course. Fun to play and easy to loose your balls on certain holes. The number 10 is one of the fun holes whe...  read more »
  • Forty dollars for the card is a rip off. Fairways were in poor shape, bunkers like concrete and greens were awful. Wouldn't play here again.
  • Beautiful but tricky. It's a treat but the first couple times out, learn and don't let yourself we r frustrated. I talked to the locals but I still felt like I lost good shots. Front and back play like Two different courses. Front is especially tricky. Know where to aim and where to miss. Definitely going back, 100%.
  • Great place. Had an amazing time enjoying a concert at the beach. Will go back.
  • The weather is beautiful. The beaches are clean. Concerts are a big draw. Rv park close by. Bike trail that goes on for miles.
  • Went to Boots on the Beach and was pretty disapointed. The venue was to small for the amount of people that attended. Unless you paid for center seating you could barely see the stage. And they were selling 24oz beers for $12!! I expect to get gouged at the beer booth, but thats just over the top. You might as well sit at the lagoon with an ice chest. Pozo is way better!!!!!
  • This review was originally posted for the wrong golf course: San Luis Rey Downs in Bonsell, CA. Now I'm moving the review to the proper course in Avila Beach. I played here in late June of 2014. Hadn't made this trip for many years, as I had been out of the state. The course had changed a bit, as the par 3 second hole was now relegated to a "secondary" role when they had an event that required parking on one of the fairways. This hole was always a killer for me as the green was treacherous, and it was a long hole, about 220 yards from the blues. The hole has been replaced with another par 3 of about 165 yards on the back side, which is just an average hole. The course is a challenging layout and the green fees are quite reasonable. If I had one suggestion for improvement on this course, it would be to trim that damn sycamore tree that sticks out on the left side of the par 4 dogleg 3rd hole. It's ridiculous having it there for ordinary golfers to contend with. Used to get me every time years ago, and it got me again this time. The only triple on my card.
