  • You know you are on holy ground but walking the somber Stations of the Coss is quite sobering. The basilica is beautiful and peaceful. The property is immaculate and refreshing. I was there for the 20...  more »
  • It is a beautiful place inside and out, where you can find peace and many blessings. In this year of mercy, has assigned the Holy door that will hopefully use to enter it and gain indulgences. Greetings and blessings.

  • This is the most beautiful, moving place to visit that I have ever seen. MUST go down hallway to right....you feel the warmth increasing as you pass the glass window of the candle room........the prayers of the people to our Lord ! Then pass around BEHIND the altar to the MEMENTO ROOM on the left rear side. Never seen anything like this room in my life, and I am old now! Crutches, casts, locks of hair, pictures, photos, medals, mementos, notes, prayers......all seeking the Lord's help or praising Him for what He has done. The tears, joys and praise of the people is miraculous in itself. You cannot leave this room unmoved. I will never forget it. It is part of what led me into the Catholic church years ago. The "Show, Don't Tell" way. You do not have to be any particular kind of smart or educated or popular or good-looking.........all sorts meet Him with what they have. You all have what the first followers had over 2000 years ago, 1500 years before they even had Bibles. The Spirit of Jesus in us. The access to God, our Father by prayer. The lifesize bronze Stations of the Cross outside are gorgeous and moving as well. and the bronze doors, grounds, everything. Beautiful. Open to the rich and to the poor, the simple and the complex. But do NOT leave without visiting that room of mementos in the back, behind the altar. A life-changing experience. and a memory that never fades.
  • ti is a very butiful church to go to altho it can get a bit chilly in but other wise it is butiful
  • Basilica of our lady of .........I don't like to go there, the echo inside the building, the acoustics are terrible. I GO THERE JUST TO SAY I WENT TO CHURCH......maybe this place is solely a tourist attraction and a platform to bring in revenue.
  • Great Chruch of God full of history and tradition they read from the bible every mass and the priest will base his homily off of the daily readings. A priest once told me we you hear people say I used to Catholic it is say to say they never were Catholic chances are they were only bench warmers. Which is true because I along with my enire family are Catholic and good luck trying to change us because once you are true Catholic you would never never abandon the Catholic church not think of it for that matter. And because I am aware of what is going on in mass from start to finish because I took a class to learn about mass and what it going on I have yet to see mass boring it is a celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ I'm full of Joy and even more when I leave mass because I have seen/ received/ Christ. Our founder is Jesus Christ him self of over 2000 years ago. The bible was created by Catholic theologians and later adopted by other religions and cut books out to fit in to their Chruch. Lastly the Catholic Church is a nonprofit organization and has been for many years the Catholic Chruch comes second to non as far as feeding the poor not even government comes close to the Catholic Chruch which Catholic in Greek means universal. God bless you all I pray you all have a chance to come by and celebrate mass here in San Juan de Valle national shrine, blessing . YBIC
