  • Every time I visit my 2 year old granddaughter in San Jose, we head to this downtown museum. It is her favorite place because there are so many fascinating things going on inside. With a family member...  more »
  • Lots of activities for energetic kids. Lots of fun activities. We bought a grandparents package which is worth it if you use it 2 or 3 times a year. They also have kid friendly food.  more »

  • We love taking our 6 year old here. She enjoys the bubble basement, building block forts, and the art room. It can get crowded so try to go later in the day when people start to clear out or on a weekday. Great for younger kids as small as 2! We have been coming here for years.
  • The employees are helpful and nice love the museum. The patrons are a different story. We only stayed about half and hour and my grandson had a meltdown at the water exhibit. He's autistic and started screaming and falling down so we had to restrain him so he wouldn't hurt himself. A patron said we where abusing him the employee told her to leave us alone. But she just kept it up saying why don't we give him ice cream we answered and said he's allergic to dairy. A.nd that we know what's best for him so she just kept up so his mom and me had to carry him out. I stop to ask if the museum caters to special needs children the said yes. So I told them and the managers what happen. I thank the museum staff and managers for being so understanding and gave us free admission to come again. It's a long post. But I feel people should know that a special need parent does know how to handle their child when they have episodes. Thanks for reading.
  • We stopped here while on a road trip. We spent several hours letting or daughter play. They had enough activities to keep her busy for hours. When it came time to leave she didn't want to. She wanted to stay and play.
  • My two year old loves this museum, but unfortunately it's a bit out of our budget so we don't go often. We went recently because there was a cheap Groupon offer for two tickets. There are lots of fun exhibits and plenty for kids of all ages to explore! The downside to this museum is that they don't have a parking lot for patrons, so expect to pay at least $7 to park on one of the neighboring lots.
  • The museum is defined for your kids. It has a lot of this like a shop with registry, paints, balloon making and other craft stuff. There is also a water related play area showing different ideas like buoyancy, centripetal force. It is a great place to spend a day for the kids. The only downside is parking. The museum has no parking of its own. There is a public parking nearby but, it is small and gets filled up fast.
