  • Awesome tea store! They have an incredible variety of tea here, and varieties within varieties! I have never tasted most of what I tried, and the staff is incredibly helpful. They let you try anything you want, and encourage you to smell and taste to your heart's content. You can tell they love what they do, and it makes them very helpful. The teas are a bit expensive, but, considering the types of tea they carru, the prices are fair.
  • Many choices are costly, undesirable and rude service, but the tea was nice. I visited this shop to try different tea not offered at my local tea shop. The service table was fully seated and had to wait for a group to leave, not a problem. After that, we are tended to by a middle-aged Asian man whose attention was spent conversing with a group in the far corner for the whole duration of our time there. I requested a sample of their Silver Needle tea and he asks, "Why did you pick that one?" I respond with, "I've never tried it, but I've heard of it before." He looked mildly irritated at that response which I found disgusting since this was a sampling and the intent was to figure out if we'd like a tea enough to purchase. He then returns to his conversation with the other group, complaining about the attitude of Americans and how many of the customers come in for a sampling without knowing what to get. When he spoke of the latter topic, he took a brief glance at my group and it really made me feel unwelcome. He also says he shows customers his mean side before his joking side, which is appalling. Without a doubt, the Silver Needle was very nice and the Blue People Ginseng Oolong left an amazingly sweet aftertaste, but our host's attitude left my group bitter and unwilling to buy from them.
  • The two things that I loved about this place were the tea sampling and the worker (Hunter). Hunter is very knowledgeable about Chinese tea, he can easily help anyone with what they are looking for. I would love to go back if I am ever in the neighborhood. The price of the tea leaves can be bought in 1/4 pound or a whole pound. A 1/4 pound of tea leaves is more than enough for just one person, and they make great gifts for tea enthusiasts.
  • We love this tea shop and come here every time we come to San Francisco. They are very informative and funny! You learn a lot about tea and the benefits from drinking it. The tea tasting is great because you can try the tea before you buy it and they provide the benefits, explain where the tea comes from, and differences in the teas. A stop here will transform a like of tea into a love of tea.
  • Wildly generous with the tasting samples. We must have tried over 10 kinds and the gentleman just seemed to enjoy sharing with us- he made us feel genuinely welcome and not like he was trying to sell us something. We left with a nice disk of aged pu-erh. The product is high quality and very reasonable in price. One of the highlights of my trip to SF for sure!
