It is one of San Francisco's 44 hills, and one of its original "Seven Hills".LocationThe San Francisco Chronicle defines the Chinatown, North Beach, and Telegraph Hill areas as bounded by Sacramento Street, Taylor Street, Bay Street, and the water.The neighborhood is bounded by Vallejo Street to the south, Sansome Street to the east, Francisco Street to the north and Powell Street and Columbus Avenue to the west, where the southwestern corner of Telegraph Hill overlaps with the North Beach neighborhood.

  • If you try to walk... I advise you to take it with a lot... calm enough water and patience. The place is complicated by the streets with impossible angles... THE Tower has a small elevator and you'll have a few minutes to see and photograph in all directions through windows. Recommended

  • This is a hefty hill, so be ready for a workout. It's iconic and historic for being the first place in San Francisco with a telegraph line.
