  • My husband and I stopped by Golden Gate Park for a few hours of quiet before flying out of San Fran. I've always wanted to rent a pedal boat on the lake there, and we finally did this go around. It's ...  more »

  • This is a fun and pretty part of Golden Gate Park, especially on weekdays when it is uncrowded. We often come here in the afternoon after visiting one of the nearby museums in the morning. The cafe at the boathouse has good sandwiches. Renting a boat and peddling or rowing around the lake is always fun. There are also trails around the lake and around the inland in the middle of the lake. Watch for turtles in the lake and a variety of birds nesting on the island.
  • I love this place! I love walking my dog here [+] beautiful rock path along the base of the waterfall [+] can also walk across a bridge in front of the waterfall [+] nice piece of nature w/ all sorts of birds and squirrels [+] there's a dirt path and there's a concrete road too [+] free parking! [+] good for strolling/walking and for running
  • Lovely like, but I wasn't extremely amazed with it. If you have some time you can bet on the top hill in the middle. If the weather is good you can see a Golden Gate bridge far away ;)
  • Beautiful lake. Perfect for walking or jogging. Cross the bridge and walk across the stone paths or visit the gazebo. Perfect for portrait photography.
  • It's a bit dirty, but a beautiful pond for the middle of a city.
