  • Stonestown was one of the first shopping malls in America. Developed by the Stoneson brothers and opened in 1952 as an open air one story mall with the Emporium as the anchor store. The Galleria was r...  more »
  • Brother said this is the largest in San Francisco Golden hill vicinity, a motionless security than others. Sell many handy shops, still 蠻 good shopping, eating, fun, good release Userboxes/Time.

  • We stopped here to take a look as it was close to home. It's a nice mall with lots of shops to choose from. From clothes to food stores/restaurants and much more! It's newer looking and bright inside.  more »

  • A mall in America. Malls aren't doing that well generally. There are many empty store fronts. The anchor stores aren't too bad. Food court is good for kids. Fair number of teens here.
  • Here's a short anecdote that conveys amazing an customer experience from the staff at this gamestop: I had been calling in for two weeks to if they have any Nintendo Switches, which at this point are very difficult to come by. They didn't, but said if I try coming in-store they might have them on this particular night. So I went and no luck. But the staff person and manager went off for a second to discuss together, and decided that they would unload the UPS package that had come in a half hour earlier, just so I could get my Switch. They had planned on unloading it the following morning, but fast-tracked the process to accommodate me. Super cool move. Speaks to the friendly nature of the people at this Gamestop. Good service is good business.
  • I like that the parking lot is never full at this mall. They've also added a few new stores. Even though the mall is only two floors it's not a bad place to shop. On Sundays you'd find a farmer's market behind Macy's parking lot.
  • Gap has great deals--also you can get a 10 min massage upstairs. The restrooms are very clean and no waiting. Kid had fun!
  • I was at Pete's coffee house there. A nice place for a coffee. Crowded. A lot of parking space. Clean. Not far from my place.

Where to stay in San Francisco

From inexpensive hostels in quiet residential areas to high-end hotels near the city center, San Francisco has accommodations for every budget. Key consideration is what kind of neighborhood you want to stay in. You'll find luxury hotels in Union Square, which has prime shopping, is near theaters, and is on the cable car line. Many hotels are in the northeastern portion of the city, near the tourist-driven neighborhoods of Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf, both easily explored on foot. To get away from the tourist crowds, consider the smaller inns and family-run bed and breakfasts in some of the city's more charming neighborhoods, such as Noe Valley or Pacific Heights. There are also boutique hotels scattered around town. Avoid staying in the Tenderloin. If you plan to have a car with you, ask about parking availability and fees. Parking is often difficult and expensive.
