  • City Hall is a beautiful building with a fascinating history. The Hall provides free tours at 10am, 12 noon and 2pm. Our guide was excellent. A must see and do in San Francisco  more »

  • Beautiful architecture, changes color to celebrate the occasion. It was lighted green for St. Patrick's day and I am sure it will turn blue and gold for the NBA playoffs Thursday when the Warriors play. Awesome place for a wedding
  • The very best feature of San Francisco City Hall is they keep the restrooms very clean. Anyone who has used the restrooms at the Main Library can really appreciate the difference. The interior design of City Hall is spectacular. Getting my voter materials at the Department of Elections on the lower level is always a smooth process. Great location to have a huge corporate event or wedding. I have attended quite a few here.
  • I mean, it's City Hall. It's one of the more prestigiously crafted buildings in all of San Francisco. When you enter through the main door, you can head to the left of the stairs and go through that entrance for a quick historical guide of the building. They also have one of the old banking vaults that people use to actually get their money from! I believe you can get free tours of City Hall. A lot of people also get married here or take their wedding photos here as well. During Christmas they have a huge tree set up on the top of the stairs. The outside lights on the building also light up at night and represent current events, such as Orange when the SF Giants are playing or Red when the Niners are playing or Red and Green when it's Christmas. A truly wonderful sight to see especially if you've never been inside before.
  • I came here for a wedding ceremony and it was gorgeous. The building has beautiful detail and even their bathrooms are gorgeous. If you have a backpack you'll have to enter through a side door that has an x-ray machine. Even on an average Tuesday the place has tourists coming through and couples getting married. If you're coming for photos be sure to get here early, less crowds and beautiful lighting.
  • The late great Mr. Lefrak and I married at the beautiful San Francisco City Hall rotunda. I also vote there. Love feeling the history and splenor of this fine building. Great for celebrity watching, too.
