  • Been before to SF and on cable cars before but had to go again. Worth the cost - even get a day pass I think USD17 would be worth it. Having said this - we caught the car at 7am so no crowds which add...  more »
  • Long wait for this attraction. It's worth it though just for the experience. $7 one way ticket. 10 mins into the ride hanging off the side rail we were riding alongside a group of naked bike riders. (...  more »
  • Much cheaper than getting the cable car and fun to watch the driver & conductor push the turntable around by hand, then push the cable car clear.  more »

  • Very touristy. Long lines. I guess if you are visiting and really want too do this then great. But not my thing.
  • A bit pricey but it was worth it, the cars run pretty smoothly and have a few good stops, we went one way down from one end to the other
  • Cool to watch, but we were not willing to wait in the long line to get a ride. We ended up walking along the cable car route. Enjoyed the sights and the walk.
  • The line. Plan on an hour in line at least. Our wait was an hour and a half midday on Saturday. The cable cars sitting there spacing their departures out so far is annoying and confusing to the people in line. But the cars leave every 10 to 15 minutes. Powell Hyde is the busier car. If you want on Powell Mason it may be easier to walk up a block the the first stop to get on.
  • It was so fun riding from the beginning to the end. Just be prepared to stand in line...it can be really long!
