  • Hi, we stumbled upon this "festival" street food. Nice ambiance, also thanks to the production of a highly addictive band. many minivans offering "dearly" products from different parts of the world.

  • We were there on a Friday night, weekly day in which you hold this nice event. A little hard to get to if not in the car. You hold up a large space in the midst of old port warehouse now transformed. All around there are vans, arranged as a caravan of wagons West attacked by Indians; mid under tents, tables, chairs and a bar with a large selection of beverages, including local beers on tap and California wines (and others), also in glasses. You order at the various trucks what you want, then you sit where is place and wears out. That street food is a typically American culture; ask even the doneness you want for the burgers! I ate a great sandwich with lobster and the equally great beef brisket, typical dish of cow boy Texans: smoked and frayed, served with beans and coleslaw. All very good. The environment is full of young, guarded and you cannot leave the fence with alcoholic beverages.

  • Every Friday, near Fort Mason, there is this kind of festival of street food with live music. Recommended to spend an evening alternative.

  • Can't think of a better way to spend a beautiful sunny day in San Francisco! I met up with some friends here on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. The view of the bay was amazing. We brought our picnic blanket and set up near the DJ. I love that there is plenty of parking, which is hard to come by in the city. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out. It is family friendly and dog friendly. There are plenty of food truck options and the best part is that there is a bar! We brought some of our own drinks but I also enjoyed the Bloody Mary and Moscow Mule from the bar.
  • An awesome way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. There's a ton of food choices here, the lawn is super relaxing, the vibe is just great all around. Lots of kids and doggies to stare at. The view is priceless here... LOVE IT.
  • Off The Grid Presidio Picnic is Sundays from 11am to 4pm from mid-March to mid-October. Tasty cheap food and large grass lawns make this a great place to picnic with friends and family.
  • Lots of food trucks to choose from, all of which have great food! Bring a blanket and try their new order ahead option to avoid the long lines!
  • This was a lot of fun! Cool variety of food trucks, a nice green lawn to lounge and eat, music, people bringing their puppies~

Where to stay in San Francisco

From inexpensive hostels in quiet residential areas to high-end hotels near the city center, San Francisco has accommodations for every budget. Key consideration is what kind of neighborhood you want to stay in. You'll find luxury hotels in Union Square, which has prime shopping, is near theaters, and is on the cable car line. Many hotels are in the northeastern portion of the city, near the tourist-driven neighborhoods of Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf, both easily explored on foot. To get away from the tourist crowds, consider the smaller inns and family-run bed and breakfasts in some of the city's more charming neighborhoods, such as Noe Valley or Pacific Heights. There are also boutique hotels scattered around town. Avoid staying in the Tenderloin. If you plan to have a car with you, ask about parking availability and fees. Parking is often difficult and expensive.
