  • This museum was found when visiting the Castro. The man in charge was very informative. This is a small but very interesting place for all to see. The only other one like it is in Berlin Germany. Do v...  more »
  • We went after visiting the HRC. Our receipts gave us a discount to admission and had not planned on going until we were told about it. It is less a museum and more of an historical society documenting...  more »

  • Small but powerful and eye opening exhibition. Walked out 😭. Just wish it was bigger and more audio visual.
  • One of the best things to do on Castro. My friends and I learned a lot about gay history and culture in the bay area, much of which I had no prior knowledge of. Definitely worth the $5 admission.
  • This has great revolving events relating to... you guessed it, GLBT/LGBTQ History
  • I worked here over the summer and it is a great place to work and visit. The museum is located in the heart of the Castro, SF's iconic gayborhood. If you visit be sure to ask for a tour--all the people at the front desk are volunteers!!!!! (: Also be sure to check out Harvey Milk's old camera store-sadly now the HRC, The LGBT placards on Castro street in the sidewalk, the large gay flag hanging in Harvey milk Square, and the rainbow streets. SF IS AMAZING. NO OTHER CITY CAN COMPARE.
  • We paid US$5 each to enter this small museum & found it very small but interesting.
