Historic Walking Area Tourist Spot
Descending the slope of one of San Francisco's seven hills, Filbert Steps remains one of the most famous stairways in the city, known for its length and scenic vistas. The stairway features 284 wooden steps running down three blocks and through public gardens and past Art Deco buildings. The gardens, home to some noisy parrots, are tended by the residents of the street and feature interesting sculptures. Look for the building with a facade that features a three-story-high relief of the city.
