Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 50+ reviews on the web
Swim, kite surf, or simply relax at China Beach. The shallow water provides a safe place for kids and less experienced swimmers to safely enjoy themselves. Bring food to prepare on one of the outdoor grills and picnic tables. Kite surfing enthusiasts can take advantage of the wide shoreline and good winds here. More secluded than others in the area, this beach offers a quiet getaway from crowds. No kiosks or shops--but you get a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day. • Located in the Seacliff neighborhood. Have sheltered pocket of sand with a picnic area and a sunbathing deck. Accessible by a steep, paved drive or natural stairway of ~100 steps. Please note that the...  read more »
  • Moved to this neighborhood almost a year ago and just today discovered this little gem of a beach on a morning run. I was astonished at it's beauty, it's seclusion, and it's peacefulness. I shared the...  read more »
  • A small beach near Baker Beach. Lies snug between the cliffs. Top offers wonderful views of the Bay and the Golden Gate. During the warm days here is pretty crowded. Saw bathers even in cold weather.

  • Not often crowded, this has a great view of Golden Gate Bridge, the light house across the bay, and the Pacific. If you're adventurous, I've seen people climb the rocky areas. Locally, this is one of my favorite beaches. You can see whatever you want - including the sunset.
  • This place is a hidden gem, but don't head down on a cold day! Bring some meat to grill; there are some truly massive grills available; not the little ones you find at most parks. If it's not your birthday or some other holiday, make up an excuse!
  • Much quieter spot and more private than Baker Beach. That being said, it doesn't seem to be as clean of a beach. I saw more trash and such tossed around. The surrounding neighborhood makes for a really nice stroll. It's nice to pretend I could maybe someday own one of those houses.
  • Great little beach. Not super big but its nice and secluded. Great view of the Golden Gate.
  • Lovely secluded beach area with a great view of the bridge. Come early - the parking lot fills fast.
