  • Immigration Museum, for the most part devoted to immigrants from China and Japan. Museum complex of the fates of those who were forced to start their lives anew. Were in such a Museum in New York. Between them a lot in common. Is about 3 kilometers from the ferry, there are small spaces-avtomobil'chiki.

  • After a nice shuttle & walk on a sunny day, it's quite sobering to view the exhibits at the Immigration Museum. Very well done, nice outdoor information panels and setting. Do not miss.  more »

  • Angel Island, the Ellis Island of the West, has a fascinating history as well as very nice present. You can hike around the island, going to the top of the hill, and get amazing views of San Francisco, while imagining what it might have been like for the many (mostly Asian) immigrants who came through this way. make time for the little museum, too.
