  • Highly recommended if you'd like to have an up-close tour of a small, historic brewery. Far less sterile than a tour of a large brewery. The tasting was also quite generous.
  • Great tour, fascinating history, and somehow, even more amazing beer! It would be worth it for the tasting alone. Buy a growler of your favorite tasting to go ($10 for the bottle and $12 to fill). Lea...  more »
  • Awesome! I love a tour that allows for socializing with other beer lovers and this was the one. We went on a very informative tour including getting to go onto the bottling and secondary floor. Just b...  more »

  • Had an awesome time touring Anchor Steam! Our guide did a great job walking us through the different steps they take to brew their beer, and you really get an in depth look at what its like to run a craft brewing company. They have a rich history of being one of the forefathers of craft brewing in America, and their upstairs tour area gets to show off a lot of that. And of course, you get to try lots of different beer that they currently have! Would definitely recommend taking a tour here.
  • They don't have a walk in ability to have tastings. I walked about 45 minutes to get there and there was nothing to do. Three others had the same problem. Not saying anything is bad, I went to their att beer garden and had a great time - just all the reviews assured a great time at this location. Just schedule a tour! No walk ins.
  • Mike was an amazing tour guide. He was full of information about the company from the time it started in the 1890's to their future plans. The tour was the most informative I've been on and we were given six differwnt 4oz samples after the tour, included in your cost! So much fun and delicious beer, cheers!
  • The brewery tour and tasting was an enlightening experience for a beer novice such as myself. Anchor Brewing has a very cool history.
  • The tour was great and definitely a must for any San Francisco visit. Delia was fantastic at showing us round and very knowledgeable, not to mention generous with the samples after. Would recommend.
