  • I had a great time in Amoeba Music. I found all the albums (and more!) in vinyl that I never would have found as easily back home. I found the staff to be super helpful and I loved the fact that they ...  more »
  • I've never been to this record store before but decided to go on advice from a friend. The place is huge with a good selection of both new and used vinyl and CD'. I believe they also sell DVD's but I ...  more »

  • This place is likely the largest music store in San Francisco. They have new snd used vinyl and cds, and dvds and blu-ray. Also record storage cases (which look well made) and shipping boxes, books on music, guitar picks, and probably many other things. Oh, and if you are into such things, there is a dispensary somewhere in the store. Just follow the green line.
  • Great place for buying current and old cd's. Great catalogue and good service. Think of going with a good two hours to really explore all the store and find the hidden jewels.
  • What a place! A real treasure for vinyl, comics, music, dvd, even vhs lovers. You'll find everything here, in a great atmosphere that you struggle to find anywhere else.
  • Not really all it's cracked up to be. There are better organized record stores that are smaller now. Worth seeing if you've never been there, but if you're going on a mission to get records, I would hit up another spot.
  • Man, I loved this place! Huge variety of CD's and vinyl's for all kinds of taste, well-sorted and some are quite cheap. Expect prices ranging from 5 to 10 dollars for the CD's, though. Only few are cheaper.
