  • The parking, stairs, elevators and escalators are not aligned our numbered the same which makes it very difficult for new guests to navigate.
  • It was a multi-level outdoor mall. I found it interesting. There were some bargains to be found. It was in walking distance of our hotel in the Gaslamp district. It offered options other than the tour...  read more »
  • A simple food court on the 3rd floor can eat Chinese, Mongolian, Japanese, etc. I think when you can be a simple meal at a reasonable price, so lovely light meal. Teriyaki Chicken Bowl was a Japanese shop photos is about 7 dollars.

  • Let me be super clear. The only reason I dislike it is because parking is so ridiculous! They allow 1 free hour, then it's like $2/15 minutes. You can validate at Macy's or a couple of other stores for an extra couple of hours but it's a hassle if you didn't plan on going into those stores and who knows when they will take that away too? Overall, the outdoor mall is really nice. It's nice to get some sun while shopping and the store options are nice as well. They have an attached 24 hr Fitness in case you need to get a work out in ( you can get some extra parking time by joining.) But if you're not trying to get a gym membership or shop at Macy's then you feel super rushed shopping here. It sucks.
  • The architecture here is quite fun, and the Art Deco vibe is a trip. The shops are standard mall fare, but that's expected. The 3 stars are due to the horrible state of decay. Many of the shops are gone, without any sign of replacements coming. They lost their Nordstrom anchor, so a full wing of the mall is now falling apart. Cement is cracking and paint is fading. Seems like a really neat mall about to fully close or turn really nasty.
  • I am giving only one start because of the parking situation, they only validate for 1hr after that is $2/15 minutes. I left paying $15! Ridiculous! The only way you get more free hrs of parking is if you shop at macys, grocery store or go to the gym.... No wonder there is not so many people around! Personally I am not coming back here and I will pass the word around to friends, family, coworkers, etc.... Stupid idea Westfield Horton Plaza!
  • Horton Plaza is kind of what a mall would be if M.C. Escher was the architect. One side of the mall is odd number floors, the other side is even. The garages are numbered for fruits and vegetables, nothing lines up simply. The mall is 4 stories where most are tied to each other via short flights of stairs. This makes wheelchair navigation tedious. Other than that. It's a mall. It has stores, some restaurants, a movie theater, the Balboa Theater, the Lyceneum Theater, and other ammenities. During hot weather I really wish it was covered. Covered parking is adequate, but easy to lose your car.
  • Horton Plaza is a Supermall! You will return to the mall many times and enjoy your time here. Exceptional modern architecture; this four story complex is artfully done. I love Horton Plaza.
