  • The Waterfront Park is a great place to get out for an afternoon stroll. On the south side, it has been completely upgraded with an imaginative playground for children, some picnic tables, lawn seating large enough for playing all kinds of running games, and a fanciful series of giant water cannons shooting into a shallow lagoon that children use as a wading pool. On the north side, there is another giant water canyon display, lots of lawn, and a well-done botanical garden with many benches where one can stroll in relative calm. Many guards patrol the grounds on foot and contribute to a sense of safety and order in the park, which could easily have been taken over by the large numbers of homeless that roam San Diego's downtown.
  • Great location with great view of harbor. Lots of kids playing in the wade pool. Lots of benches to sit if you don't want to sit on grass. There are a few structures for kids to climb and play on. Concrete walkways for easy use of strollers
  • Awesome water fountains to hang out at while watch the sailboats, sunset and other fun stuff down by the bay. There is a great playground for kids to have fun and on hot days, there are usually people cooling off in the fountains. Also a great location for a wedding or other fun event.
  • I love this park. I come here almost daily with my family. All of the events and activities year round make this park such a wonderful addition to the Little Italy community.
  • Love taking our 17 month old son here to play in the water fountains. Water is ankle level, so I don't have to worry so much. He loves running around and playing with the kids. Awesome kids playground as well.
