Where to stay in San Diego

Offering accommodations at a wide range of price levels, San Diego is one of the easiest cities to stay in, regardless of whether you're simply passing through or hanging around for a long vacation. If you don't mind splurging, book your stay at a luxury downtown hotel or a lavish bayside resort. You can also rent a spacious private cottage within walking distance of the city's popular beaches. For a more affordable alternative, try a family-friendly hostel or quaint inn in a quiet residential area.

  • There are some great places to eat tightly nestled together at this location!! Seasons 52 being my absolute favorite. I also remember seeing The Cheesecake Factory. The parking is the only draw back!! Valet parking is a must but expensive! Be sure to ask your restaurant if they subsidise any of the cost. It's also walking distance to Seaport Village and the water. Which are great places to visit after a terrific meal!
  • It's a neat outdoor shopping mall / restaurant hub, housed in the old San Diego Police headquarters building. I like the concept of preserving a historic building for a modern purpose and sparing it the wrecking ball. As a bonus, they've maintained an area of original jail cells for the public to see, along with a few cases of police artifacts. The bathrooms are also very clean, should you need them.
  • Love walking around here. My girl loves the cheesecake factory. I prefer the The taco bar further inside.
  • Food was over priced. Parking was horrible! Spent $11 for two hours. Taken advantage of. ...food was good.
  • Nice courtyard. Interesting boutique shops. Good addition to the seaport village area. Parking can be tough when its busy.
