  • This is much smaller than I thought it would be but does have some neat exhibits. We added on the cannibals exhibit which was interesting but I'm not sure it was worth the extra $6/each. The building ...  more »
  • It’s definitely a unique museum but it is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Not a lot to each exhibit, but it is still worth the money to check out  more »

  • Always a great experience at Balboa Park San Diego Museum of Man. We went to the Living with Animals exhibit. Perfect place for the family. I took my 2 year old and she was entertained the entire time. I took these photos on my visit. Hope you enjoy! I highly recommend you visit!
  • My wife and I found this to be one of the most intense and enjoyable experiences of our stay in San Diego. In the presentation about "Race" there was a picture that will stick with me for the rest of my life. "I am just a little boy and nobody likes me." It is an amazing museum with plenty of wonderful exhibits that will enlighten and amaze visitors of ALL ages. Steven Gaffney Lincoln City, Oregon
  • I was certainly expecting more... the exhibits are just okay. The place is really small (2 floors + tower). You have to book for the tower’s tour. The building’s architecture is stunning and some details are just beautiful. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
  • The architecture of this building was stunning. The tower really attracts attention from any distance or angle. The museum itself was...okay. Most of the exhibits were quite dull to me, but they did have a few interesting pieces here and there. This museum was included in the Explorer pass, but if I had to do it all again, I'd probably skip this one. There are plenty of 5 star reviews for this location, so I'd still say it's worth checking out if you've never been here before.
  • Cool and intricate artifacts of real mummies in the museum. I love that fact that they have various exhibits showcasing different ideas/ interest. I especially love the dream weaver concept in the monster exhibit which visitors get to write down their fears or monsters and attach it into the dream catcher to symbolically take away those fears/ monsters.
