Where to stay in San Diego

Offering accommodations at a wide range of price levels, San Diego is one of the easiest cities to stay in, regardless of whether you're simply passing through or hanging around for a long vacation. If you don't mind splurging, book your stay at a luxury downtown hotel or a lavish bayside resort. You can also rent a spacious private cottage within walking distance of the city's popular beaches. For a more affordable alternative, try a family-friendly hostel or quaint inn in a quiet residential area.

  • The museum is closing soon so most of the items have already been removed. I hear it will be converted to a ComiCon museum.  more »
  • For the sport enthusiast, it is worth a peek because it does cover so many different sports. Being from out of state, I probably didn't appreciate some of the info that Californians would; however, th...  more »
  • We didn't have time to go through the museum but needed lunch so grabbed a quick bite. We each had custom made hamburgers... great service. Nice atmosphere. Not too busy.  more »

  • Never been to the museum but the restaraun inside has the best homemade food and for a great price.
  • I got there just a tad after they opened and they were not ready to be open. None of the tvs or interactive displays were working. I was one of two customers in the whole place (on a Monday morning). I don't live in San Diego and don't really care about San Diego sports so this place was of little interest. I didn't know it was just about San Diego sports so it was disappointing because I read that it is the largest multi sport museum (but they didn't have anything about basketball which is what I care about most) and the average time spent here is 3.5 hrs according to Google. I was done after half and hour and even that was after dragging it out.
  • My favorite museum in san diego. Also have a family member whos honored here
  • Great memorabilia from sports history, especially local sports!
  • Good place. I wouldn't say this is the best museum in Balboa park.
