Where to stay in San Diego

Offering accommodations at a wide range of price levels, San Diego is one of the easiest cities to stay in, regardless of whether you're simply passing through or hanging around for a long vacation. If you don't mind splurging, book your stay at a luxury downtown hotel or a lavish bayside resort. You can also rent a spacious private cottage within walking distance of the city's popular beaches. For a more affordable alternative, try a family-friendly hostel or quaint inn in a quiet residential area.

  • Modern public library with very nice selection of children's books, available computers, and play amenities. Lots of seating for children and adults. Tips: Parking during a Padres game is $40 if you arrive more than one hour before or less than two hours before the end of the game. You also need a key for the children's restrooms, which are located near the librarian/staff's desk. There is a designated table for early did in the children's area.
  • Beautiful and spacious!I haven't been to a library in years (you know, with the internet being around and all that...), but I never realized how beautiful the CA Central Library was! I've been to the Central Library in San Diego, so I know big libraries and I've done research there too. This place looks a lot more modern, and there are catalog computers EVERYWHERE! No need to wait in line or for your number to be called here. The directory is easy to follow, and the staff is very helpful.I will definitely be doing my music writing here quite often!
  • Great place not only for "librarian activities" but also for seminars, meetings and other similar events. Lots of facilities for community and organization gatherings and convenient parking with 2 hour validation for the library. The Living Room Cafe is also a nice addition to the complex.
  • A true treasure! Reading upstairs in the "people's penthouse," with those magnificent views is one of my favorite things to do in the city.
  • It is such amazing exprience. I would like to "say thank you" everybody who participated from vision to action by building this highly attractive public library. It is Great gift for our kids today, tomorrow and forever.
