San Diego Bay Walk, San Diego

(4.8/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Take an easy walk that winds through downtown and the city's waterfront area along San Diego Bay Walk. The scenic stroll offers a taste of the city's mix of stunning nature and urban edge. Begin a self-guided tour of the bay at Broadway Pier (where you can also stock up on gifts at the souvenir shops). Head north to find the terminal where most cruise ships launch, surrounded by fish shops and restaurants. Here, consider taking a tour of the Star of India, a mast ship from 1863. Heading south from Broadway Pier, you come across Navy Pier, where Navy ships often dock and welcome visitors on free tours.
