  • Play here especially if you're staying at the Inn. The course was in excellent shape and most of the greens lightning fast. There is a very well stocked pro shop that has more than golf related items....  more »

  • The hotel is very nice. I really liked the natural tones and environment. There are a lot of trees and nature when walking the grounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always greet you and have a smile on their face. The room is nice, clean, and comfortable. The view from the room is very nice. It looks out into a lot of green such as trees, grass, and nature which I really like.
  • Old, big, but not "luxury", as it says in their verbiage. One problem with the resort, probably related to its age, is the looong walk and lots, OK, really really lots of stairs one needs to climb everywhere. As an example, our room is on the third floor of a building with no elevator. Friends with us who asked for a bellman to help with their luggage climbing 3 flights of stairs got no help and had to carry all their luggage up all three stories. The room is just average but not luxurious, just nice basic stuff. The restaurants are nice, but a bit overpriced, especially the cocktails and wine. If you stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, eat elsewhere. The restaurant is on the same level as the lobby, but for some goofy reason, you need to walk downstairs then back upstairs to get there. We were there for a golf outing. Golf was 3 to 4 stars. I'll rate the golf course in a different review, but my overall thought is that we won't be back. YIKES! I forgot ---- it's $25 a day to park your car here. Not coming back!!
  • Went to the Veranda for brunch on Tuesday. They only serve brunch on the weekends, but I wasn't disappointed! Their food was excellent, affordable, and huge. I especially liked the French Dip. It was overcast when we went, but the view was nice. Can't wait to come back for a sunny brunch.
  • Amazing experience from that resort this weekend! The place is very relaxing and nice, but the service made it this time. Just as an example, we needed to boil water to disinfect baby's bottles and didn't have means to do it. They went and bought an electric kettle so we can use it! This is our second visit (we ended up in the same room, in the premium section) and I have only good words on the hotel!
  • Nice facility and beautiful grounds, and a lovely place for the wedding we attended. Rooms were nice, though our first room's AC was broken. Food was good, though service was sometimes excellent and sometimes slow or absent. All in all, though, a nice resort.
